Economist aura helps Bloomberg in financial times
Bloomberg LP has found an Economist veteran who can help when it comes to these financial times. The replacement of founding editor Matt Winkler ends an era at Mike Bloomberg's media empire. Enlisting John Micklethwait, who currently edits the 171-year-old British weekly that calls itself a newspaper, portends the biggest internal shakeup at Bloomberg in a quarter century. It could also mean there's a bigger chance of the ex-New York mayor's financial information firm snapping up a certain pink-hued publication. Full Story
